The Nursery Program is continued in KG I taking it to the next level. Alphabet with their phonic sounds are taught and the children are introduced to the Writing of the letters of the alphabet * Reading of simple sight words/ 3 letter words. *Circle Time and Parachute Play develop language as well as concentration skills and topics dealing with the environment of the child.
Numbers, their value, symbols (oral and written) are taught keeping the way children learn best - sensorial, games, experiential activities along with math concepts involving dimensions an shapes.
* Gross motor muscles are developed through Games, Free Play, Garden Play, Water Play, Music and Movement. *Weekly skating sessions have made our little ones champions.

Enrolling Mirissa in Mother’s Pet Kindergarten was a very well thought of decision due to the reputation that the school holds in general. My husband, Rohit being an alumnus just added to the decision making. After two years with Mother’s Pet Kindergarten, I can see my daughter Mirissa as a confident, creative and curious girl. Her class teachers Smita Sengupta (Nursery) and Ketki Devghare (KGI) have been her favourites and she looks forward to seeing all her friends and zone teachers every day.

Getting into Mother’s Pet Kindergarten, for little ones in our family is no less than a tradition, and the intuition has reciprocated even-handedly to the carriers of its alumni, and we already have two in our family doing good for themselves and for the society. Her approach towards things she encounters in daily routine has become much more rational nowadays, and this is all due to her grooming at Mother's Pet Kindergarten. Mother’s Pet Kindergarten has carved a niche for itself in the field of premium education. It is a matter of prestige for a parent to educate their children in our group of schools. My journey of three decades with MPK has been as exciting as the growth of the schools.
At a time when Early Childhood Education meant learning a few rhymes, numbers and the alphabets, we upended this philosophy. We taught phonics, said no to cursive writing, rote learning and moved away from the conventional ways of teaching discipline. We believe that discipline is intrinsic and that it can be inculcated through stories as well as other rational ways.
It is our strong belief that only when children are happy and are offered a comfortable and conducive environment, can they be open to learning. In an endeavour to make our children bold, confident and independent learners, we encourage them to speak their mind, express themselves and ask questions.
Our curriculum is dynamic and focuses on all-round development of children. We adapt constantly in order to keep up with evolving early childhood education. When the pandemic struck, we were the first few kindergartens to adapt to online teaching. Our virtual classes were engaging, with a healthy mix of academic and practical learning, as well as fun and games. We continued our relentless efforts in the second year too, reworking our curriculum to make it more participatory for our students. Our teachers rose to the occasion during the Covid period and used technology to their advantage, conforming to the new teaching style. We take pride in our well-trained staff, each of whom possesses exceptional skills and are constantly striving to upgrade their skill sets.
